5 surface types:
• Falcon® surface treatment - standard: non-treated polystyrene plates; their surface is hydrophobic and fixes proteins such as igGs with a low to moderate affinity;
• Falcon® surface treatment - cell culture: pure polystyrene surface culture treated with plasma to make it electronegative and hydrophilic; this surface promotes cellular attachment, growth and proliferation; these plates are sterile (gamma rays);
• Falcon® surface treatment - enhanced (high affinity): modified surface to make the polystyrene more hydrophilic; this surface displays a high affinity for proteins such as immunoglobulins and is generally recommended for immunological assays;
• Biocoat Collagen I surface treatment: collagen coated surface for improved attachment of the transfected lines;
• Biocoat Poly-D-Lysine surface treatment: surface that facilitates the development, proliferation and differentiation of nerve cells and numerous other cell types.
